ABOUT THE BOOK
In 1976 a deadly virus known as Ebola, emerged from the Congo in Africa. The disease was quickly discovered, however, it disappeared shortly after. Recently, the disease has randomly popped up in history and leaves a devastating effect on countries. It can kill almost 90% of it's victims and can be spread extremely easily.
I am a journalist. This past month I journeyed to Monrovia, Liberia to document, photograph, and witness the Ebola crisis first hand.
This book is a collection of true stories that people told me during my travels in Liberia. The book also goes into detail about what Liberia is doing to prevent the further spreading of Ebola, and gives insight on what we can do to help the people of Liberia. It shows in detail the situation people are in, including the shortage of health care professionals and doctors as well as the lack of hospital space and resources needed to treat people.
